PROGRAMMER ANALYST $56,659.20 - $82,149.60 (Salary depends on skills/experience)
Programmer Analyst will work closely with development and other support groups to provide solutions to meet needs of all parties. Participate in design, coding, and perform unit testing for assigned projects. Identify and rework any structural defects found in programming code to reduce future maintenance costs. Participate in face-to-face meetings with IT programming team and/or key stakeholders to gather requirements at the granular level. Document functions and features to meet documentation standards.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited 4-year college or university; or any combination of education, training, and experience may be considered (Computer Science degree preferred). Minimum one to two (1-2) years work experience in programming database applications (IBM Informix-4GL and/or 4Js Genero experience preferred). Strong working knowledge of program design, implementation, and unit testing. Experience working in a fast paced collaborative and cross-functional team environment. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels. Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Willingness to learn the agency’s application development environment and toolset.
