Hi,

Doesn't seem to be a forum section for feature requests where one could make suggestions and vote on others ideas also, so thought I'd post my request here.


Request:
When using Studio can you add the ability to jump the layout view to a field selected in the Report Structure view please. Maybe either by double clicking, or right click menu option, on the item in the Report Structure view.

At the moment, when I'm in a large report it is often easier to find what I want in the Report Structure view, but then I have to scroll the layout view until I notice the highlighted field or page or whatever it is. Much easier if it could just jump to it for me.

When viewing .4gl and .xml files, click within the Structure view or Search results and the editor view scrolls to the selected item.
So this request could apply to the search results panel also.
I don't use the Form Designer but it may also benefit from the same behaviour?

Hi Bryce,

Yes, could be a nice feature. It is filed as #GST - 12565 (Scroll design view to the item selected in structure view). Thanks.
