Hi,

I found this problem when try to convert my old report(informix 4GL - report to pipe (print using dot matrix printer)) to Genero Report format (print to laser printer). In new report using GRD, the output for items even at same numbers of characters, not print properly/straight. Please see my attachment. I need to solved this problem so that the report will print more tidy (no indent) at our university transcript especially at subject code.

Thanks ..

Hi, it's solved already. This is just only a font selection problem .... Courier New is the solution.

Hi Adnizal,

Be aware of the difference between proportional and monospace ( or fixed) fonts.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typeface#Proportion

The default font is a proportional font so if you do want characters to align then you will need to select a fixed font.
