Genero Enterprise 4.01 Maintenance Release :
Genero BDL - GRE

Four Js is pleased to announce a Maintenance Release of
  • Genero BDL with Web Services (BDL – GWS - JGAS - GBC - GGC - WCG - GIP) 4.01.07
  • Genero Report Engine 4.01.15

Genero BDL with Web Service (BDL - JGAS - GBC - GGC - WCG - GIP) 4.01.07 is the bundle which includes:
  • Business Development Language (FGL) 4.01.07
  • Web service extension (GWS) 4.01.07
  • Genero Browser Client (GBC) 5.00.00
  • Genero Identity Provider (GIP) 4.01.03
  • Genero Ghost Client testing tool (GGC) 4.01.04
  • Application Server for Java (JGAS) 4.01.01
  • Web Components and wrappers (WCG) 4.01.04

What's new
Genero BDL 4.01.07 comes with the GBC 5.00.00 version because as announced earlier: starting with Genero 4.01, Genero front ends are moving to a rolling release pattern.
GBC and GDC 5.00 will support both Genero v4.01.04 (or higher) and Genero v5.00. No new v4.01 front-end packages will be released;
anyone needing a maintenance release for their v4.01 front-end installations will need to use the v5.00 front-end packages.
Same for GDC 3.21, it will be replaced with GDC 5.00. The latest GDC 3.21 will however be doawnloadable in the archive section for people really requiring GDC 3.21.
Keep in mind that any bug will be fixed in GDC 5.00 for FGL 3.21 to 5.00.

Important: Genero BDL 4.01.07 is fixing the WCG-177 issue announced in the earlier version of Genero BDL.
If you are using Genero Web Components you should install this version of Genero BDL.

These packages are now downloadable from the web site : https://4js.com/download/products/.

These versions also include also the following bugs fixes :

All Four Js Genero customers under maintenance have free access to the new release.

Best regards,

Four Js Development Tools

Hello Christine,

there's a typo in the attached document. In appendix A the EOL dates for Rocky Linux 8 and 9 are mixed up. Rocky Linux 8 was released earlier, so the support period is also shorter than for the newer version.

Kind regards
Roland
