A long awaited feature, readonly fields has been marked as "Won't fix". Is there a reason for this? We have some long textedit fields which we want users to be able to copy text from, but not allow changes. Are there workarounds for this?

See GDC-1316: Would like to be able to select text of a non-editable field using the mouse

Read this as "Copy text must be possible from any form field without adding code at 4GL-level".

This feature has been marked as "v3: must be in EAP".

We too are interested in having copy text work from a non-input field.
What does this mean: "v3: must be in EAP"?
If it is planned to be implemented, when would that happen?
