The FGLPROFILE files(s) are the main configuration files for Genero applications.  One entry "fglrun.defaults" amongst the many entries for the core language has an often overlooked benefit that can aid in doing gradual rollouts.

You can use this to entry to help indicate if certain work has been completed on an individual program and have that program operate differently if that work has been done.   This was useful during initial Genero transformations from TUI to GUI as you could control if individual programs ran in Traditional Mode or not, depending if their forms had been updated from SCREEN to LAYOUT.

The same technique can help in other similar situations.
