I have a requirement to integrate some data from Sage Line 50 financials into my Genero sales order entry module- specifically the sales ledger account balance from Sage.

Sage runs on a Windows server and the BDL on Linux.

Having looked at this I can see two options.

1. Write a scheduled script on the Sage server to export the account balances and another to import them into the operational database.

2. Write some web services on the Sage server (perhaps using IIS/PHP) and use the web services components in BDL to consume these.

I prefer option 2 as it is expandable and gives real time results.

Just curious as to whether anyone else has had such a requirement.
