I did my first Genero transformation project as a Genero customer in the early 2000’s.  At the time we took what in hindsight has turned out to be a fairly aggressive approach to the code transformation process.  We said if we were starting from scratch what would our code look like? , and then tried to transform our code to get close to that ideal.  We figured we had a once in a generation opportunity whilst the hood was up to transform the existing sources.  If we did not take the opportunity to perform certain actions on our codebase, that opportunity might not come around again for a while.
