Title: Documentation enhancement
Post by: David H. on May 15, 2013, 04:58:06 pm
I'm posting here as this applies to all documentation.  When a new feature is added which is then version dependent it would be great if the version it applies to could be shown beside it the feature, i.e. "SQL Blocks, v2.40+"

Hello David,

Once I wanted to add version information in topics but it's not that easy and a lot of work if we want to cover all prior versions.

You have the complete history of new features in the "New features" section.
In the new 2.50 doc of Genero BDL:
https://4js.com/techdocs/fjs-fglgws-manual/c_fgl_nf.html

We also assume that Genero programmers use the latest release (2.4x today), maybe the version before...
You should not use older versions.

Seb

For those not in the EAP, this is the link for the latest version of the docs https://4js.com/online_documentation/fjs-fgl-manual-html/User/NewFeatures.html.

Also the documentation pointed at by the online link will refer to the latest version.  Older versions of the documentation are available online and will have the version number in the documentation https://4js.com/online_documentation/fjs-fglgws-2.32.01-manual-bdl-html/?path=fjs-fglgws-2.32.01-manual-bdl

If you see techdocs in the URL then it applies to the version in the EAP.

I'll also point out, this link https://4js.com/en/feedback?w=doc is available for feedback on documentation.
