hi all,

i want to start using genero studio features such as report writer but can't seem to pass the configuration steps.

i've installed genero studio (with report writer) on the linux server and on the workstation pc but the following error messages are displayed:

Checking configuration 2.21.02 Desktop
Invalid Genero configuration.
Invalid Subversion client path.

can someone assist?

Hi,

Let me understand: You installed Genero Studio (Client Part) on client PC and Genero Studio (Server part) on a Linux server, so you plan to work in remote mode I guess?
In this case, you have to set the configuration manually in the GST configuration tool. You have to:

- Define the Server in the 'Genero Host Management' part of the config.
- Ensure the 'Genero Installation' is well found on that Server.
- Set the mount point(s)
- Get back to the 'Genero Configuration Management' part of the config
- Add a new Genero Configuration and set it as default
- Define a Front End
- Define a Host (the Server added above)
- Select the Genero Installation name on that Server

Then, you should end with a proper remote Genero Configuration.
