Title: Ask Reuben 229 - Expiry Dates - DIY Solution
Post by: Reuben B. on June 07, 2024, 06:55:35 am
With the article on Expiry Date two articles ago, there were some internal discussions around whether we should provide some automation within Genero to provide reminders that maintenance, subscription, or stop dates are about to expire.  This is always an interesting topic because of the many factors that you don't immediately think of when you initially think of an idea, and then the seemingly simple becomes more complex.

During these discussions, there was an epiphany where it was observed that Genero has the tools where you can execute fglWrt and read the output of fglWrt, parse it for the maintenance expiry date or subscription expiry date or stop date, and then take whatever action YOU want from within your Genero application.

So rather than us adding something, you have the tools to create your own warning solution that best meets your needs.
