This post is to inform about a known issue in 2.02.08 (detected too late to be fixed in this release). This version defines now the proxy settings to "auto" when connected in Active X. This means that GDC will use Internet Explorer proxy settings to connect to the host ; the proxy is bypassed by the local address. The issue occurs if you try to connect to the current machine, using "localhost" or "127.0.0.1". The system function we use to detect if the IP belongs to the same network (and then if you must bypass the proxy or not) does not care about "localhost" or "127.0.0.1", therefore we have to treat this in a special way. As a workaround, you can use the network IP or the name of your host instead of "localhost" or "127.0.0.1". Sorry for the inconvenience, Best regards, Pierre-Nicolas |
