That is they have many hundreds of Genero application, many thousands of Genero files, and many hundreds of thousands or millions of lines of code and for a developer to manually make these changes is a lot of effort and perceived risk.
What you can often do is identify and automate these code changes, but in order to do that your development environment should have a number of good characteristics.
