Title: Black Background

I have just installed Genero Studio and black background screen welcomes me on "Welcome" page.
There is also a black screen on every page in help document (screenshot attached)

Any thoughts how to get rid of black screens and enable helpdocs?

I would suggest you contact your local support with this issue if you. haven't already.  They would need to know the Studio version, your O/S version, and any steps you have performed in installing and in this particular case uninstalling a previous version.  To help them out give them the numbers SUPNA-4622, SUP-23835, this will enable them to give you the resolution steps, but given that at least three people have ended up in this position, we should figure out how you got there.
