Title: VC++ 2008 support?
Post by: David H. on December 03, 2008, 11:34:56 am
Hi,

I was just wondering what the situation was with VC++2008 support? Currently we have VC++ 7.1 and VC++ 2005 versions available for download. Do we have to wait for a VC++ 2008 specific release or can the VC++ 2005 version be used with VC++ 2008 already?

TIA.

David

Hello David,

Visual C++ 2003 = Visual C++ 7.1
Visual C++ 2005 = Visual C++ 8.0
Visual C++ 2008 = Visual C++ 9.0

Four J's tried to prepare Genero 2.11 with that VC90 but for several reason there is a problem to compile all database drivers.

Therefore Four J's can not provide the package yet. And we are working with DB's support team and Microsoft to solve the problem. We can not give any ETA now.

Thanks for the update Olivier. I noticed one of the v2.20 EAP programs was already w32vc90!
