Title: Printing text at the very bottom of the last page.
Post by: Paul M. on July 28, 2017, 11:17:43 am
Hi,

Genero 2.50

I need to print a string(wordwrapbox) on the very bottom(above my footer) on the last page of a report.
While I can print the string where I need it (Y=max, Anchor Y=1) the other text from the report runs into its area.
I know I need to reserve some space for it what I need to find out is how to calculate the area required so it can be reserved(Layout Node) as it is just one long string that wraps.

Is it possible? Any suggestions?

Thanks for any assistance.

I would attach screenshots but "the upload folder is full" is what I get.

Hi Paul,

I am shooting from the hip (there might be other and better solutions). How about putting the element twice? The first time with white or transparent color and Y not set so that it is taken into account when computing the required space. And then another time the way you did it so that it becomes visible at the bottom of the page above the footer.

Regards,

Alex

Alex,

Your aim is good :-)
An excellent and simple solution and it works for me.
Many thanks.

Regards,

Paul.

In 3.00 you can use the new lastPageFooter value for section.
